Ancram Opera House seeks two actors for upcoming production of "Summer," a one-act play (approximate run time of 20 minutes) being presented as part of The Plein Air Plays, a series featuring three short plays staged in outdoor site specific locations.

Synopsis: An elderly couple, sitting under a canopy of leaves on a deep blue violet summer night, reminisce about their earliest summers together and, while unpacking their marriage, hit upon some long buried sentiments.

Character Breakdown:

Lillian, female identifying; age: appearing 65 years or older

Walter, Lillian's husband; male identifying; age: also appearing 65 years or older

Dates:

July 31: Rehearsals begin
August 10: Performances begin
August 20: Performances end
Performance schedule: Thursday through Sunday

Contract: AEA Special Appearance Contract, Tier 1 ($350/week for up to 20 hours work / week). Non-Equity actors are hired under similar terms.

Actors who reside in the general vicinity of Ancram Opera House or have access to local housing are particularly encouraged to submit.
